Since 2014, Dr. Paolone has been a Research Professor in Restorative Dentistry at Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan.

He earned a PhD in Dental Biomaterials from Portsmouth University, UK.

Dr. Paolone is:

• Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED)

• Associate Member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry (AARD)

• Active Member of the Italian Academy of Conservative and Restorative Dentistry (AIC)

He served on the AIC Board as Secretary (2018–2019) and on its Scientific Committee (2020–2022).

Dr. Paolone manages a private practice in Rome.He also lectures in:

• The Master’s Program in Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry, University of Bologna, Italy

• The Diploma of University (DU) in Esthetic Dentistry, Montpellier University, France

He is the author of two Quintessence books:

• Direct Posterior Composite Restorations

• Direct Anterior Composite Restorations

Both have been translated into several languages. He has authored and co-authored numerous articles in international scientific journals and contributed to various textbooks. He regularly lectures at national and international courses and conferences.

What the Hands-On Will Cover

During the hands-on session participants will perform a full Class IV composite restoration, including:

• Full workflow for a Class IV build-up

• Layering opacities and translucencies to mimic natural teeth

• Creation of primary & secondary anatomy

• Polishing sequence to achieve natural gloss

• Focus on optical layering, transitions and morphology

Participants perform the Class IV restoration on models.
