ABOUT THE COURSE
ReTreaty — The Second Chance in Endodontic Treatment
Modern Strategies for Non-Surgical Endodontic Retreatment
Non-surgical endodontic retreatment is one of the most demanding procedures in modern Endodontics. Successful outcomes depend not only on the removal of previous filling materials but also on accurate diagnosis, appropriate case selection, and a thorough understanding of the factors that led to the failure of the initial treatment.
This course introduces a modern, clinically oriented approach to endodontic retreatment, emphasizing predictable, conservative, and biologically driven treatment strategies.
Through clinical cases and practical demonstrations, participants will explore the role of CBCT in diagnosis and treatment planning, the evaluation of prognosis, and the decision-making process between non-surgical retreatment, surgical intervention, and alternative treatment options.
The course will also address techniques for safely accessing previously treated root canals, removing gutta-percha and sealers, managing procedural complications, locating untreated anatomy, and achieving effective cleaning and shaping while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible.
WHAT THE HANDS-ON WILL COVER
ReTreaty IN ACTION
From Removal of Previous Filling Materials to Complete Root Canal Shaping
During this workshop, participants will learn and practice a systematic non-surgical retreatment protocol using the ReTreaty system and the latest devices from Dental Perfect.
The hands-on training will cover:
• Diagnosis and Case Selection: Identifying the causes of endodontic failure and evaluating retreatment options.
• CBCT-Based Treatment Planning: Using clinical and radiographic findings to guide treatment decisions.
• Safe Access and Material Removal: Techniques for removing gutta-percha, sealers, and previous root canal filling materials.
• ReTreaty Step-by-Step Protocol: Understanding instrument selection, sequence, and clinical application.
• Root Canal Renegotiation: Managing obstructions, restoring patency, and addressing challenging canal anatomy.
• Cleaning and Shaping: Effective canal preparation while minimizing unnecessary removal of tooth structure.
• Modern Endodontic Technologies: Practical experience with Dental Perfect devices and their integration into a complete retreatment workflow.
Participants will perform practical exercises on pre-treated teeth or training models, applying the techniques demonstrated throughout the course.
The goal is for every participant to leave with a predictable, repeatable, and immediately applicable clinical protocol for non-surgical endodontic retreatment.
